American Graffiti

Spotted in the East Village: two identical murals saying we’ve been duped.

Two questions:

1) shampoozled?

2) who’s behind the guerilla marketing scheme?

Devachan’s been telling us for years that shampoo is the enemy, but something tells me that a bigger company is behind this…

Guesses?

I saw this ad in a magazine this weekend-it was copyrighted by Unilever at the bottom of the page. I was trying to think what other brands Unilever produces. The only one I remembered from Unilever was Dove. Knowing that their last ad campaign caused a lot of buzz, I will go with that.

I saw the same thing here in LA – on the side of a building at Melrose & Larchmont (or maybe Cahuenga). Guerilla marketing is everywhere these days!!

My guess is Bumble, because one is so close to the meatpacking location, and because Bumble is planning on revamping hair powder as a spray (genius!). And these ads seem so Michael Gordon, no?

You should ask Miss Lewis. OR maybe it IS bumble, you totally already know
that, and as a PR favor to her you’re creating buzz on the blog, which would
    be absolutely amazing!
